As an optometrist in Idaho Falls, Dr. Todd Birch provides complete eye care services and welcomes patients of all ages.  For over 25 years, Dr. Birch has served patients throughout southeast Idaho from his Idaho Falls and St. Anthony offices. 
 

Dr. Birch attended Ricks College, graduating in biology, then received a bachelor’s degree in Vision Science, from Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton, California where he also received his doctorate in optometry.   He graduated from optometry school magna cum laude in 1991.
 

Dr. Birch is certified in ocular disease diagnosis, treatment, and management and treats hundreds of glaucoma patients using the latest technology available.  He is proficient in disease diagnosis and management, especially those suffering from macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and cataracts. As an eye doctor, Dr. Birch has extensive experience in treating infections, injuries, and dealing with various problems of the eye and eyelids.
 

With decades of pre and post-operative surgical experience, Dr. Birch has extensive experience with all types of refractive surgeries including LASIK, PRK, and lensectomy. He has extensive contact lens experience including recovery care for many post corneal transplant patients wearing specialty lenses.
 

Dr. Todd Birch has been a member of the American Optometric Association for over 29 years.  He has also been a member of Idaho Optometric Physicians (IOP) for 21 years and has previously had the privilege of serving as the director for the South East Idaho Section.
 

Active in his church and community, Dr. Birch can be found serving in many capacities.  In fact, Dr. Birch and his wife, Traci, have recently returned from serving a full-time mission in Calgary, Canada where they loved their service experience very much.
 

Dr. Birch and his wife have two sons, two daughters in law and they enjoy being parents and grandparents. When he gets a chance, Dr. Birch likes to golf, hike, climb mountains, ride 4 wheelers on the sand dunes and in the desert.  You can also find him enjoying the outdoors doing yard work.

Dr. Jared Birch, an optometrist in Idaho Falls & St. Anthony, provides comprehensive eye care and vision services in East Idaho.
 

Born in St. Anthony, Idaho, Dr. Jared Birch was raised on a dairy farm and participated in activities such as scouting.
 

Upon returning from a two year LDS mission, he enrolled at Ricks College and after receiving an associate’s degree, transferred to Utah State University where he received a bachelor’s degree in Nutrition Science. While at Utah State, he and his wife Brooke were married.
 

After graduating from Utah State, Dr. Jared Birch attended optometry school at Southern California College of Optometry.   His education there focused on all aspects of primary eye care with emphasis in areas of ocular disease diagnosis and management, low vision, and specialty contact lens fitting. Jared graduated in 2004 with his degree as Doctor of Optometry.
 

Following graduation, the Birch's moved back to Idaho where Dr. Birch has been in private practice as an eye doctor ever since.  In 2007, Dr. Jared Birch purchased Dr. Douglas Hilborn’s practice.  While practicing optometry in Idaho Falls for nearly 10 years, Dr. Jared Birch’s goal has been to provide a high level of eye and vision care to his patients, which has included utilizing the latest advances in technology.  Dr. Jared Birch is an Idaho Falls optometrist who also services Summit Eyecare’s St. Anthony and Pocatello offices on occasion. 
 

He is able to provide eye care for patients of all ages and is experienced in diagnosing and managing patients with macular degeneration, glaucoma, dry eyes, cataracts, infections, and those requiring specialty contact lenses.  He also provides pre and post-operative care for refractive surgeries and for cataract surgery.
 

Professionally, Dr. Birch is active in the Idaho Optometric Physicians and American Optometric Association.
 

In his personal life, Dr. Birch is proud to be the father of four active boys and the husband of one amazing woman.  In his spare time he enjoys golfing, hiking, and being in the great outdoors.

Dr. Jay Borgholthaus, an optometrist in Pocatello, provides comprehensive eye care and vision services throughout East Idaho.  Dr. Borgholthaus attended Brigham Young University in Provo, then was accepted to Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon where he received his bachelors in vision science and his doctorate of optometry in 1991.
 

Following his honorable release from the Air Force, Dr. Borgholthaus moved back to his home state of Idaho and practiced as an eye doctor at Shopko Eyecare for over 18 years in Pocatello before joining Summit Eyecare.  Dr. Borgholthaus has seen thousands of patients managing their vision as well as eye diseases.  He has aided and co-managed hundreds of cataract and LASIK surgery patients.
 

"Dr. B," as he is sometimes referred to, enjoys helping patients see more clearly with contact lenses.  He takes great care in helping those patients who have had  difficulty wearing contact lenses and turning it into a comfortable, clear vision experience.
 

He has been a member of the American Optometric Association for over 15 years  and is active in his local South East Idaho district.
 

Dr. Borgholthaus has served in his community and church in the Pocatello and Chubbuck area since his arrival. He likes spending time with his wife, kids and grand kids!  He also enjoys hiking, golf, riding 4 wheelers in the mountains and vacationing in McCall.

Dr. Craig Fleming, an optometrist in Idaho Falls, provides complete eye care and vision services in East Idaho.  Dr. Fleming received his Bachelor of Science degree from Brigham Young University in Biology. He then graduated magna cum laude from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee with his Doctor of Optometry.
 

Dr. Fleming enjoys serving patients of all ages. He is very enthusiastic about vision care and has a genuine concern for each of his patients. He is certified in ocular disease management and treatment, diagnostic and therapeutic pharmaceuticals and has extensive experience fitting contact lenses as well as managing patients with diabetes, cataracts, macular degeneration, glaucoma and LASIK.
 

He is a member of the American Optometric Association, the cornea and contact lens section and the sports vision section, as well as the Idaho Optometric Physicians and Beta Sigma Kappa optometric honor society.
 

Dr. Fleming enjoys spending time with his wife and children. If you can’t find him in the office or at home with his family, you might be able to find him on one of the local golf courses. He also enjoys playing the piano, hiking, and camping.

Dr. Guymon graduated from Brigham Young University Idaho with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology, Chemistry minor.  He attended Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton, California where he was awarded a Doctor of Optometry degree, graduating with honors. 
 

Dr. Guymon was born and raised in Southeast Idaho. He practiced as an Optometric Physician in Spokane Washington for three years before joining Summit Eyecare.  He enjoys treating patients of all ages and is exceptionally experienced in fitting all types of contacts including specialty contact lenses.  Dr. Guymon is very focused on excellent patient care and has a passion to provide the best possible eye care to every patient he encounters.  His extensive training and experience in ocular disease management and treatment serve his patients well.
 

Neal enjoys spending time with his wife Angie and son Grayson, and daughter Indi. His interests include videography and photography, camping, and serves with his wife Angie in their non-profit organization "Calling All Angels.”  His professional affiliations include the American Optometric Association (AOA) and the Idaho Optometric Physicians (IOP).

Dr. Watt, an optometrist, provides comprehensive eye exams and vision care in Pocatello, Idaho Falls and the surrounding area. Dr. Watt attended Idaho State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in zoology. She went to Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon. As a student Dr. Watt participated in a humanitarian trip to the small village Chivay, Peru.
 

She received the Donald A. Bybee Memorial Award for vision therapy for demonstrating the best performance in the area of vision therapy as a student.  She graduated in 2010.
 

Dr. Watt practiced as an optometrist in the beautiful community of Albert Lea, Minnesota for over five and a half years at the Shopko Eyecare Center. There she worked closely with the eye surgeon in cataract surgery management as well as co-managing and treating various other eye diseases.
 

Dr. Watt is excited to have returned to her hometown to serve the people in southeast Idaho. Dr. Watt enjoys getting to know each and every patient to provide the best possible eye exam tailored to his or her specific needs. Dr. Watt focuses on the entire visual system to ensure optimal function.
 

Dr. Watt enjoys spending time with her three children and wonderful husband. She likes to spend her free time camping, gardening, running and just being able enjoy the company of her extended family.

Dr. Davis graduated from Brigham Young University-Idaho with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, Chemistry minor. He attended Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee, where he was awarded a Doctor of Optometry degree, graduating with honors. His clinical rotations there included training with industry leading dry eye specialists and a premier optical.
 

Dr. Davis has practiced as an Optometric Physician in Southeastern Idaho for fifteen years before joining Summit Eyecare. He enjoys providing personalized eyecare to his patients of all ages, and has great interest in getting the best visual outcome for all those he works with. Helping patients find solutions to their vision and ocular health concerns is his priority. The goal of treating ocular conditions compassionately, and using the best available treatments, drives his continued desire to learn. Dr. Davis has a working relationship with the best LASIK and cataract surgeons in order to give his patients the best pre and post-operative care.
 

As a Southeastern Idaho native, Dr. Davis is greatly appreciative that he can raise his family of five children, with his highschool sweetheart, in our wonderful community. He enjoys working with all of the excellent Summit Eyecare team, to give his patients professional eyecare, with a personalized touch.
